We have now had quite a few Top 10 Listicles.
I’ll share a handful below, but this one is coming right off of re-sharing our Top Ten Male Celebrity Workout Routines (right from the article) onto the SHJ Instagram page.
It only feels right that we finally get a User’s Choice (AKA The SHJ Army chooses) for the ladies as well.
Some of the women on the list might surprise you, and others definitely won’t.
But, I suppose that’s the fun in it.

Or, just hit The Workout Database and scan through and find the section you want within our array of workouts.
I’ve been making it more of a point to do these listicles (even featuring specific Anime shows, networks, and tons of other things) to make it easier to comb through all the workouts we have (nearing 1,000); but that’s not the only thing we have here at SHJ!
But, for the sake of our listicles, I’ll share a few others we’ve seen recently (or that are relevant).
Some of our recent listicles revolves around things like:

But just to be clear about how this works: we’re going to be basing this listicle around a few things (none of which are me simply saying “This is an exact order of the best female workouts”).
Here’s what we’ll be basing it on:
- Popularity among The SHJ Army (you guys)
- What I feel is the most effective
- What I feel is unique or different
- What I think is the coolest character and workout pairing
And those are all weighed in the same, although the coolest character and workout pairing might be ever-so-slightly lower than the other two when I make my decisions. But anywho… Let’s start with number one….
Learn which program is best for you and your goals.
To be fair: the top two for this list were EXTREMELY close.
To the point where I was considering making them both number one; but in the end I decided to just let you know that they are both the top picks among The SHJ Army and overall usage and effectiveness.
Both routines utilize weights, but Gal Gadot’s physique is slightly less curvy than ScarJo, so keep your goals in mind when choosing a routine.
One is built to become Wonder Woman’s strong, lean and toned physique; built around Gal Gadot’s specific training style; while the other highlights what we’ll talk more about below.
And then we built The SHJ Legacy Program to help you achieve it!
Scarlett Johansson’s workout routine was the first female workout EVER to hit SHJ.
Now that is pretty cool.
The SHJ Army liked it so much I almost immediately started writing one male and one female celeb routine per week from that point on.
ScarJo loves hitting the weights, and has been quoted comparing her style of lifting to that of a man’s routine. She deadlifts and lifts heavy because she likes it, but it also compliments her curvy physique as well.
For those of you looking to tack on some curves: this might be the one for you!
Keep in mind your nutrition will still have to allow for it; but this one has you going down the right path!
Okay so we might have three “Disney” stars in a row from ScarJo.
And by that I mean Marvel and Star Wars included, obviously; and maybe that’s the reason I pushed Gal Gadot into the first spot for DC.
BUT, I promise all you DC lovers that there are more DC stars coming on the list! 😛
That being said, Brie Larson’s routine is another one that has you lifting BIG weights. Larson wanted to get STRONG, and was even posting videos of herself crushing glute bridges with over 300 lbs, weighted pull ups, and more.
So if you’re looking to level up and get super-strength: you’ve come to the right place!
Daisy Ridley’s Workout Routine was the biggest thing since sliced bread for a WHILE.
The routine itself is awesome, even including training that Ridley did to be a Jedi-Lightsaber-Weilding-Badass, so I’m sure that’s part of the reason it was shared and utilized so often.
We’ve also now seen a slew of different Star Wars Themed Workout Routines at SHJ, but Daisy Ridley’s definitely led the way for us.
Whether you want to lose weight and get toned and slim like Ridley, or if you want to simply unleash your inner Jedi, this one is a great one for either!

When Tomb Raider hit theaters I think 90% of women switched over to this routine.
Alicia Vikander not only transformed into Tomb Raider, but she BECAME her.
Instead of just getting into “great” shape, she decided to get absolutely shredded and show off six pack defined abs to go with her already lean physique.
Vikander used a mixture of high intensity training, weights, and cross-training similar to our Legacy Program to unleash her inner Superhero!
If you’re looking to get super lean, super shredded, and super—-hero?…this routine is definitely for you!

Who wouldn’t want to train like Supergirl?
Not only is Melissa Benoist’s routine the most used among TV Star Celebrities, but it has also been the most effective.
Although, there a couple more TV Celebs whose routines give Benoist’s a run for her money, so don’t hold me to that!
Benoist has a nice mix of training how you’d typically expect Supergirl to train with a variety of other styles even including yoga; so if you’re looking for something that gives you a little bit of everything, look no further!
The only thing you’ll be missing is a wide variety of cross-training, but you can mix and match to make that happen.
Zendaya has six pack abs.
She might not show off her physique in Spider-Man, but the world knows of Zendaya’s rockin’ bod.
She has hit Instagram to show off her sculpted abs on a number of occasions, and The SHJ Army made it pretty clear they wanted to know just how she does it.
Her routine is quite easy and can be followed by all fitness levels, so that’s just another perk.

I was actually a bit surprised this one wasn’t higher on the list.
Margot Robbie’s routine got more action once she became Harley Quinn (this is Superhero Jacked, after all), but that was definitely not the first time she showed off her slim and toned physique.
In a handful of other roles like The Wolf of Wall Street, Focus, and more; Robbie puts it on full display and has everyone envious and wondering just how she keeps her curves.
Well, luckily for you, you can actually find that information here…
Her routine is actually much more simple than you’d imagine, with a good portion of it coming from fat burning cardio!
Nina Dobrev is KILLING IT in the fitness game.
She has had deals with Reebok showing off her routines, and constantly shows off a super-high activity level via hiking, snowboarding, and being outdoors on a [what feels like] constant basis!
That being said: her routine is very high intensity and involves the addition of you getting super active as well!
So for those of you who want a mix of cross-training and getting outdoors to achieve a slim and toned physique, well look no further.

Caity Lotz joins Dobrev as one of the TV Show stars that I mentioned when I was talking about Melissa Benoist’s routine.
The two of them have awesome routines and Lotz’s workout involve a bit more weight training, but is killer!
Lotz takes to Instagram fairly often to show off just how hard she works in the gym, and I’ve seen he pull her shirt off to show off a ripped six pack as well.
She definitely took transforming into a superhero pretty serious, and her training matches that!
If you’re looking for a high volume, high intensity, weight training protocol; this might just be the right fit!
Runner Ups: Emily Blunt and Jennifer Aniston
These ladies were the closest to making the list; but the above were just a bit too far out in front for the criteria I used.
Technically speaking neither of these two would have surprised me for making the list, but they were even just slightly off if I had strictly based the list on overall usage by The SHJ Army as well!
That being said, both routines are some of my favorites on the site.
Aniston’s involves a ton of yoga, which she did for the majority of her career (although I have a case study in Superhuman Secrets all about her switch to cross-training and other variable training), and Emily Blunt hits the weights and other training to make both of these workouts both different and effective!
